Spent a few hours at silence_bliss‘ yesterday, letting her work her magic (as in glue gun) on a handful of my pretties – and not so pretties (as in Hujoos..):
The latest addition to the family came along, he’s a twin brother to my “big guy”, an Angel of Dream SD of a mold called Mo. He’s got a beautiful custom faceup, which makes me even more eager to redo the one my other guy has (I’ve already done my best in ruining it, by washing him with a magic sponge – kids, that’s not a clever thing to do if you want to remove dirt only and not the faceup..). The newcomer arrived sporting a long, red synthetic wig, but was promptly given a brown fur wig – leaving my poor Yuhi (Namu Vispo) bald.. On the rightmost picture below he’s borrowing his brother’s synthetic wig. I need – and have ordered – silicone caps in order to let these guys wear the fur wigs I’ve got – they’re a tad bit too large. I could of course also get them wigs in a more appropriate size, letting Aki (Taeyang) and Yuhi keep theirs. ;) Off to Sunny’s Wonderful World once I get my July salary, I guess! Shoot that, he needs shoes too, so I just ordered both. Yay for free shipping, and for my s/o’s income being higher during the summer months…
The girl on the picture, a Dollzone Yage called Haylee, jumped into Jun’s bag when I left the workshop yesterday. Jun doesn’t seem to mind much, does he? I would actually not mind having her on a permanent bases, but she’s a hybrid and her owner is reluctant of letting her go since it would lower the value of the other doll (they have each other’s lower arms/hands and legs). I really shouldn’t even think along those lines, anyway – I have plans and hopes on getting an U-noa Lusis later this summer and that would mean my budget being spent right there. So, as for now, Haylee is only visiting! I hope the weather – and my work schedule – will allow some seaside photography during the week ahead.
I keep reconsidering my Pullip collection all the time, as this is written there are actually 9 dolls (boys included) which I could’ve let go of without much remorse. The main reason I feel this way, I reckon, is partly because I want to free funds for bjds (I want a SD girl at some point, plus at least one more tiny), partly because we _still_ haven’t gotten around to making that hobby room – all my dolls spend most of their time being tucked inside cardboard boxes, and it feels a bit of a .. I don’t know, waste? :( I see others having their dolls displayed in IKEA shelves and want to do the same, but I definitely don’t want to make them the main attraction of our living room. ;) There’s also the fact that whenever I want to take pictures, I need to set up the diorama and the lamps, and then put it back after I’m done. I am (too) easily discouraged by this. So, hobby room, be done already.

Doll collector since the summer of 2008, never really played with dolls as a kid. Discovered Blythe and Pullip... (

Hiya, I am sorry to hear that your doll broke her arm – sadly, this seems to be a common flaw with the type3 bodies from Jun Planning. My best advice would be to get one of the many bait bodies which are up for sale on ShopaDollic.com and
pullip_sales , and just switch her whole arm.
