Getting somewhere

Getting somewhere My first "proper" custom doll

The last couple of weeks have been extremely boring, I’ve been sick most of the time, with fever, body pain, coughing, airway infections – you name it. I have been home from work since last Monday, but tomorrow I will give it a try (even though I still have two days left of my sick permit and I actually spent all day today sleeping..). I’ve not even had much energy to be online, or spending time with the dollies – poor Arion probably dreamed of a warmer welcome (luckily the rest of the gang seem to be taking good care of him, in the absence of his “mom”). I have spent _some_ time with the dolls, though, for instance by swapping eyes on my custom Nomado head (it weighs a ton now, with all the blue tack holding her acrylic eyes in place.. will have to look into the working-acrylics-eyemech tutorial). She’s also been given a light faceup, but I discovered that it will have to be slightly exaggerated irl in order to look ok in photos – she looks like she doesn’t have any makeup on at all now.

I also need to look into acrylic paint and gloss, both for her sake and for my smallest bjd, which still is faceless…

Kuroshitsuji-wise I am now three or four episodes behind the subbers of the anime. I’ve got them downloaded, and will perhaps watch one or two in bed when I’ve finished this entry. Today I received the hard cover calendar book, which I recently won on eBay. It’s really nice, with awesome artwork and quite sturdy (from what I understand, it originally came as a freebie with a manga/pop magazine, so I am pleasantly surprised by the quality).

Look what arrived today Showing off the nice artwork

Doll plans: my Canadian bjd is still in limbo, the last sign of him was when he left Canada Dec 29th, but both the Norwegian and the Canadian post services says that there’s no reason to panic yet. That’s fine with me, I am just _very_ curious about where it is right now. On a boat parked midway between the north American continent and Europe..? Hm. My Lati White is still “being prepared”. The last upcoming doll is a Vispo which I will pay for next week and then get in another week or two from then. Finally poor T?ya (Trunk) will get a friend who’s not obsessing over rock music and trying to look hot for the girls. ;)

On Pullip Style, there are two similar topics about Polyvore and about the me-Pullip. The birdie/moeeeh Pullip would be based on Haute NY, sans the glasses and the dress part of her stock outfit. Her hair would be short, blond and spikey. Here’s the extra outfit and the accessories:

Oh – and The Valley of the Dolls has gotten a makeover, what do you think of it? :) Today, the forum too got a new look, to match the main site!
