My online sister cutsiedotnet has made the cutest socks ever, plus skirts and leg warmers – go check out her sales post at Shopadollic!
Other than that – tomorrow or on Thursday at the latest I will be paying for Carol! I also found a cute Little Leprotto on flickr, to keep Little Riletto company, plus I finally got around to order that basic Hujoo that I was supposed to get in January (I never realized that the confirmation email from hujoo.co.kr was my invoice, and they ended up cancelling my order..). The last doll purchase for April will be a SD bjd, a twin for my boy Shin. It’s hard when the monthly budget is spent weeks before the money is in..! >__<
Tomorrow I am sending off three dolls - Veritas, Craziia, Butler - to Kristin, a Norwegian bjd collector and "doll knitting guru", to tempt her into Pullip collecting because she’s curious to learn more about them and hopefully is looking into creating knitwear for them. She’s been selling her stuff on DoA and a Norwegian doll forum, and just recently set up an Etsy store. All of my bjds except for little Belle have sweaters made by Kristin; my Domuya Potpourri girl has several knitted hats, and my U-noa boy even has a pair of socks! My mother is a major knit freak, but she hasn’t got the patience for the finishing seaming of outfits that are that small (she loves knitting and hates seaming, and tiny doll outfits only makes that worse..!). Kristin is my saviour when it comes to getting modern, casual looking, knitwear – much of the knitted outfits for dolls are otherwise a little bit too.. I don’t know, dull? retro? kid-like? I’ve got hopes for a Pullip collection once Kristin has been persuaded by my girls’ (and boy’s) beauty!
Oh, and completely unrelated: I’ve finally decided for sure that Blythe are not for me. *whew* ;)
Doll collector since the summer of 2008, never really played with dolls as a kid. Discovered Blythe and Pullip... (
How sweet of you to post about my socks and skirts! Thank you!
<3 ya more each day sis! :P
(nice photoshop work btw!)
Are the gals and Butler excited to travel? I can only imagine them scrambling around figuring out just what to pack! xD
Good on blythe decision, I’m with you 110%.
Love the clothes from
cutsiedotnet ! :)
Kristin’s clothes rocks too! I am glad she is setting up an Etsy store!
Have you seen a Blythe irl? I was amazed when I got my first one, the quality is so much better than the quality of Pullips. :P
;) Poor things, they were just wrapped in bubblewrap and thrown into a box, no treats for the journey or anything.
Yep, I got to see a Can Can Cat on the dollcon last month. She was one of the few stock Blythe I was really considering buying, and well.. nope. Not getting any!
Heh…Blythe aren’t for me either. I’ve known about Blythe as long as I’ve known about Pullips (about four years now) and have yet to feel any interest whatsoever. Oh well, I’m happy collecting the dolls I do collect. :D
:o
thank you! <3
I have heard either you love or hate Blythes, and I guess you are the latter category! :P
You’re very welcome. :)
^^;;
I am still fascinated by some of the pics found of flickr, especially the customized dolls with matte faces, non-yellow eyeshadow and all-the-way retro look, but I am happy with just watching. ;)
.. and that’s great! :D
So cute socks! And I’m with you on the Blythe thing as well… I’m not very into them either, but I really like seeing pics of them. They have wonderful wardrobes! (Which very often fits dals *huge smile*).
Yeah, I’ve noticed you often find gorgeous Blythe clothes for your girls! My girls’ style is more casual, “mature”, so there aren’t really many Blythe outfits which fit (they’re too retro and/or girl like).
Thank you! <3
