Selling a few girls and one boy, plus a bjd

I am selling a few Pullips and a Namu over at ShopaDollic. You don’t need to be a member to read the topic, and you are welcome to respond by sending me a message here on LJ or by sending off an email to pixelbirdie@gmail.com

The topic will be updated tomorrow with more “revealing” pictures – as for now, here’s a mosaic from their flickr sets:

For adoption

The BJD is a Cherishdoll Faith Chubby without horns, he’s got a lovely faceup by a Norwegian artist and will come nude in his original box, with a Cherishdoll wig and a pair of acrylic eyes (choose between dark blue, brown or magenta). The dove grey glass eyes are _not_ part of the deal unless you want to cover their cost ($40). I want US$180 for him (he’s $205 at the Cherishdoll website with wig and faceup). Guess who just moved in

Just moved in Thank you, Yuuki!

Awesome doll day for me today – no less than four packages had spent their Easter waiting to arrive at my house! yuhime‘s Carol made it safe and sound, and has already gone through somewhat of a makeover. I’ve spray matted her (the can of MSC is my most valued tool as of lately, no one’s safe..!) and also given her an extra row of eyelashes. I am not convinced about the eyelashes, though – they make her look even drowsier, don’t they? She came re-wigged in Latte’s stock wig, which is an awesome choice, but I’ve put LRRH’s wig on her for now. It’s a perfect fit for her eye chips and skin hue, but not so much for her eyebrows. We’ll see.. (I giggled when I took off her wig, btw – cone head, much? Are all the rooted girls’ scalp like that?) I’ve named her Kristin for now – partly because it’s similar to the word Christmas (get it?), and partly because the only doll Kristin I know likes to give her girls eye brows like Carol has.

Deboxed!

With a hood...

Thank you for the encouragement. good advice and general peer pressure yesterday! ;) She’s lovely, and she makes such a nice addition to the family. Especially Arion was happy to meet her, methinks.

Pretty faceShe’s a girl of typical sad JP quality, though – her wrist was either broken before I opened her or it broke as I started handling her, and both hands have stains from her coat. Obitsu, here we go – good thing I am getting my salary in a couple of days! ;) Since she won’t stay minty mint, I am also strongly considering repainting her lips, since I never was a fan of open mouthed Pullips. Maybe I’ll try and make her lips a little bit more realistically chapped while at it, and with added shading? We’ll see..

Her stock outfit is among my favourites, though I have to say that the tee confuses me a little. I mean, what’s with the dark pink and purple against all the green of the rest of her casual wear outfit? Hm. I also thought she was coming with a coffe-to-go cup, but luckily I had a thermo mug ready for her once she was out of her box. ;)

The arrival of Em makes my current girl count 18; a nice number for nine months worth of collecting. :) There’s another girl joining soon, though- I couldn’t resist when yuhime put her close-to-mint Carol up for adoption… There’s something about those sad eyebrows of hers, and of course the fact that she’s a type1 body – my favourite of the Pullip bodies so far (haven’t seen a type4 yet). Thank you for the hold, Yuuki – only a couple of days left now! <3 Sebastian should also be on his way, except for the fact that I haven't ordered him yet, heh.. Quite frankly, he scares me a little..! I would probably have to re-chip him first thing... I just finished watching the anime a few days ago, and it was .. disturbing, to say the least. x_x;; The March release has been postponed anyway... (I am not sure whether to take it as a sign or not...)
