New dolls: nude re-wigged Namu Vispo, still un-named (although “still”: he actually arrived today, so I guess I am allowed to think about it for another couple of days?), a nude J-Doll Picasso St. East, and a bald Licca head. Isn’t Vispo just the most handsome Namu?

The Licca head is put on a 23cm male obitsu, and is sporting the Sleeping Elf wig I’ve shown off before, the one that resembles the Sweeney Todd ‘do a little and which has been worn by Class Mate Takeru as well as Cherishdoll bjd Pi before her. I don’t feel too bad about giving her a male body – it’s not like it’s anatomically correct, it’s just flat chested and a bit more athletic over the shoulders than the female versions. Dressed up she looks as feminine as any other girlie doll!

She will be getting a BFF in a couple of weeks, I’ve just arranged to get another Licca head (this time with the rooted hair still intact, although with a short cut). Their names will be Pepper (my current girl) and Crystal (the one who’s joining later, she’s got blond hair)!

That’s pretty fast! Only a couple of days after pictures of him started popping up at the misc. forums, I got mine too! I haven’t had the time to unwrap his accessories yet (he’s even barefoot still), but I’ve more or less made up my mind to get rid of that hopeless wig pretty fast! It sheds like nobody’s business..! I am thinking fur, same colours (silver with streaks of darker grey/purplish). More pics on flickr!

Today, two white hard bust obitsus arrived, and now I have replacement bodies for all of my girls who I had planned on obitsuing (5 out of 15). Even my custom Latte has gotten a new body, even though I thought she’d stay on that type 3 forever (it just fitted her character). Now that it’s done, I have to admit that she looks way better on the slightly taller, more curvy, obitsu! (But wow, what’s with the HB nipples..? I resisted sanding them, but.. yeah. O__o).

I am still not 100% sure whether or not Cornice, Chill and Craziia also will be obitsued – with time, they most probably will, since I definitely am giving more camera time to those that have new bodies (meaning more posable – and optional – hands). Hm, perhaps even newcomer Greggia will get one..? Seems as all of my type3 girls are going that way – I can handle the type2 floppiness (I find obitsus just as floppy), and I kind of like the type1 bodies, but the itsy bitsy tiny hands and the non-posable wrists of the type3s annoy me beyond reason.

But 27″ obitsus are not the only ones coming my way. In Sep/Oct I ordered a 21″ for my ClassMate girl Marippe, and by mistake I also purchased a 23″. Not quite sure what to do with the extra body (selling is close to impossible, due to previously mentioned expensive shipping from Norway), I read a topic on Pullip Fiction about Nano Haruka dolls. From what I could see, an obitsu body with a specific obitsu head could pass as such a doll. But what are they originally? Factory painted obitsus? Does anyone know?

I got a hold of that obitsu head, but so far, my own girl only has some basic shading added to her face. I need to get some acrylic paint, I reckon – I am having a hard time painting precise, thin strokes with water colours.

burntbao and I recently traded girls, and today _beautiful_ Greggia arrived! This one will get a lot of camera time, for sure..! It’s a bit dark when I get home from work, but these came out rather nice anyhow. I muted the colour in the first one, the high ISO caused a bit of noise:
