Slowly normalizing my work schedule

.. and finally finding time (and joy!) in spending with the dolls again. Em (Haute NY) was picked up from the post office today, but she’s not been unboxed yet. I’ve been in doubt whether to keep her NRFB, being that she’s a limited and all, but I reckon I will most probably rip her box open once I’ve posted this. ;) My pouty little beautiful lati white still hasn’t got a name, but she’s got a huge place inside my heart! :D <3 These were two photos I took tonight, she spends her days when I'm at work - and nights, of course - in a bed I've made her, surrounded by tiny toy miniatures.

Love this washed out look Sleep tight, little bug Little bug's "room"

She would perhaps look a _little_ bit happier if I made her some kind of pouch or traveling case so that she could come with me wherever, but for now she will have to be content with at least having somewhat her own “room” here at home. ;)

My girls, Sep 13 2008

Having found names for all the girls, I figured a group shoot was in order! 8 girls for now; and 5 more (3 boys) are coming along during the fall and winter. In addition to those, there are another two girls I’d really love to have; Prunella and RIDa. There are also a few others that stand out, but I can manage without them. The ones I have by now all have more or less natural makeup and hair, and still represent a variety of looks.

One of my grail Pullips, isn’t she just gorgeous? Her hair is amazing, and her makeup so subtle and nice. To think that this was one of the very first Pullips to be released.. so perfect!

New girl

- and my first obitsu. Although not really demonstrated here, I love the way the hands can be posed compared to the limited range of the type3 bodies!

ALa (I believe it’s supposed to be typed like that, all sticky caps) is gorgeous. Perfect shade lip colour, not too dark, and lovely smokey eye makeup. Wonderful glossy acrylic-ish eyes, as opposed to most Pullips, who seem to have matte, painted eye chips. The hair is a bit troublesome, though – I have a Bratz comb which seemed to do an ok job untangling it, but it tangled up again in no time..!

Now for naming her..! I would’ve called her Keren had I not already named my first Latte that – I don’t think I will be renaming/swapping names. Hm… Edited: She’s Em, or Emily. I put the white fur wig on her, and there it was.

Finding her own style

The other girl wanted to take a moment in the spa after her long journey, she will be presented later tonight, I reckon! Oooh, the suspense. ;)

Yay for bargains!

Yay for bargains!

I dropped by a craft store a couple of days ago, looking for Wilton’s icing colours for some cupcakes I’d promised my 9 y/o. Turned out, the store was in the process of moving, and they had a 75% off sales..! There wasn’t much left (I got the icing colours I was looking for, though!), but I was quite pleased with the things Smilla – my Chill – are showing off here. The felt fabric rolls were only $2.5 each! I foresee some nifty duffle coat for my girls..! The scrapbook paper is meant to be wallpaper (there are four sheets of each design).

And yeah, I’ve finally come around to naming my girls. Some are namesakes, some got their names “just because”.

Smilla is named after the main character of Peter Hoeg’s novel and the film by the same name. Keren is named after one of my favourite singer/songwriters; Keren Ann. Lisa is named after Lisa Kimmel Fischer from the TV series Six Feet Under.
