Re-ment galore, new Pullip exclusive announced

Spent a couple of hours last night finding re-ment and other miniature toys for my little gang of tinies. My Lati White Belle is soon getting some company: I’ve adopted a Lati White Pury, and the FelixDoll Brownie that I ordered in May is bound to arrive soon (or else I’ll go insane waiting..! ;) ). When they finally make it here, they will have some nice toys to play with; among the stuff that I’ve ordered is a turtle aquarium, puzzles, a watercolor paint set, a xylophone, a beetle/bug explorer kit, and a beach set complete with a water melon.

It’s been quite a while since I got any re-ment/miniatures, it was fun looking through the eBay stores for some! :) I also got a few things from CoolCat: a really nifty short cut Pullip wig – not unlike my own hairstyle ;) – a couple of tight pants for my Pullips, and a blonde fur wig for one of my SD boys.

I also browsed the Pullips currently available on eBay, and decided that I am in no rush of getting any more right now. I love Adsiltia, but I don’t reckon she will become rare or unexpectedly expensive any time soon, so I can wait. I do have a nude Nahh on her way, I can’t wait to matten her face, give her one of the fun fur wigs I’ve got, and see which personality she hides..! I really like the default Nahh-Ato faceup and colours, and her eye chips especially.

On that note, the announced Asia/Europe exclusive Pullip turned out to be a Hong Kong exclusive only.. Today Sala was announced on the Groove blog, and the entry says that she will only be available at the Comic World HongKong on Aug 2, or for pre-order from pullip.com.hk (which doesn’t accept international orders..). I like her better than Lala, the US exclusive, but not enough to become upset over the poor chances of getting her. Lala to the left; Sala to the right:

What do you think of her?

Week in review, kinda

So, to keep the newfound drive of blogging going, I figured I should add a few lines this weekend as well. From Greggia’s arrival this Tuesday, to my ordering a Lati White Belle and paying the pre-order on Arion, quite a few big things have happened – but there are also a few noteworthy minor things.

Week 2 2009

Re-Ment, my new drug of choice

Lunch at Tom's Cafe

I can’t help but being intensely fascinated by the world of Puchi Petites and other Re-Ment. When starting out on my Pullip journey, I first thought that the Barbie stuff my neighbour lent me would be enough – there were salads and some other meals, cutlery, glasses, cookware and more. Problem was, however, that all of this was either pink, purple, or other not-really-true-to-reality colours… (Do _you_ have transparent, purple sauce pans..?)

Not all purchases are successful

Hmm.. so I am supposed to sit in this thing? No parcels today, so I thought I’d blog about one of the items that arrived yesterday. There’s this designer chairs series that I’ve been drooling over, not really re-ment or doll house accessories, but more of a decoration in themselves.

I went for the Le Corbusier Grande loveseat, hoping that it would at least fit the Class Mate dolls, if not the Pullips. This was clearly not the case, though (please disregard the obvious lack of decent clothes for the Class Mate)…

So far, I’ve not been able to use any kind of re-ment or miniature furniture for any of my dolls, but from others’ photos, some sets are ok at least for the Class Mates.

I find myself putting back most of the Barbie stuff I got from my neighbour, btw – after having purchased a few re-ment sets I’ve discovered how lacking they are in credibility, all compared.. Purple plastic tea cups aren’t really what I want to use with my dolls, now that I know that there are life-like miniatures out there!

Oh, and the result of the hair wash last night? A-m-a-z-i-n-g. Chill’s hair is really soft and not tangled anymore, so yay for that!
