Maaya (Latte) and Em (ALa) sportingnew wigs – Em even with a new body! – marking the first two “custom” girls of mine. While a change of wig and a new body doesn’t really equal customizing, I’ve really taken the plunge now, though: my desk is filled with wigs and body parts, open heads and faceplates, screws and tools. I even made my significant other come home from work to give me some sanding paper and help me saw down the neck peg on the newest obitsu body..! :D
Chill is having her black lips erased, and will soon get a new lipstick – and even some blush added to her cheeks. My Class Mate Marippe has had her head cracked open (..!), her faceup is being sanded down, and she will get acrylic eyes to replace her original, painted ones (as soon as I find out how to fasten them to the eye sockets..). I will have nightmares tonight, lol..! Haha, which my S/O probably also will – he was home today when our mail arrived, and I made him open one of the parcels while reporting on the phone. It contained a wig and a body, and he was all “hmm.. aren’t these dolls supposed to have a head?”. LOL, scarred for life..! ;) (He’ll survive!)
While Marippe is becoming a real custom Class Mate, Spunk (Papin) will be the first major custom job on my Pullips. She’s currently not decent, doing all kinds of naked poses with her awesome new body, so pictures will have to wait. ;) When she’s done, Maaya will probably also have a few more details changed in time to welcome her twin, the MIB Latte which is currently in transit. She should be here this week, I reckon.
I don’t think Maaya will get an obitsu, though – I kind of like her with the tinier, girl like, type 3 body. It would’ve been just perfect it if the wrists were more flexible and the hands slightly larger..! Maybe there are girl-like obitsus? The 25cm ones?

xDD Same here! But isn’t it just SUPER fun customizing and opening the heads and everything?? x] Haha, that sounds funny. I kinda like the Type 3 bodies, too /: And even the Type 1′s and 2′s after a bit of an adjustment!~ So for now, only 1 of my 13 girls is on an obitsu xDD
Type 1 bodies are my favourite of the stock bodies! Body 2 is too floppy, gets stained, and loses the hands too easily, while body 3 has too small hands and annoys me with their limited range of movement in the arms and hands. The feet of body 3 are perfect, though, on how they fit right into the different snazzy knee-high Barbie boots! I reckon I will be obitsuing most of my girls, we’ll see. A couple of them are “baits”, meaning I will make several changes to them, while most of them only need that new body in order to be perfect and pose well for photography.
I like the legs on the type 3 as well, and their sturdiness. If you really want to keep her on a type 3, you could just give her obitsu arms. All my girls have this combination.
Sounds like you’re getting to the customizing. It will be exciting to see how Marippe turns out!
Ah, I haven’t even though about that: using obitsu arms and hands with Pullip bodies..! Thanks for the heads up! :D Marippe is coming along nicely, I’ve found a way to fasten those new eyes but will have to work more on removing her stock makeup (she’s so tiny, it’s hard to reach the lip wrinkes and the inner parts of the eye lids..!).
