They made it!

We made it

Finally, the two sisters Asuka and Papin arrived! Cross-Atlantic shipping stinks when you’re on the receiving end, lol..! The wait is unbearable! They both came in their boxes, with full stock and their card – Asuka even has a stand; my first. The only thing missing was Papin’s wig, which was replaced with a Nina wig. Latte quickly offered a swap, and now Papin is once again sporting a mohair wig – although not as pink and fluffy as her stock wig. Papin has a few marks – wear, not stains – on the side of her face, I hope I’ll be able to even those out (and then there’s always Photoshop, for pictures, at least).

New hair!Speaking of fluffy: the wigs for my Class Mate dolls also arrived today, and sadly, they are too big.. :( They are otherwise _gorgeous_, soooo soft and also really well cut by the creator; The Sleeping Elf. I managed to put them on in a manner which looks so-so – by turning Marippe’s wig sideways and by putting Takeru’s hat on top of his. Both dolls’ stock wigs became more or less ruined during removal – no loss there, but this also means that there’s not really a turning back point. I’ve ordered another two from Dollmore, and will be turning back to The Sleeping Elf for more now that I know the exact size (I just gave her the doll type, not the measures, when I ordered).

  1. Papin’s who I would like to own someday unless someone new I like comes out. :)

    • She’s definitely one of the cutest, and most versatile. I’ve seen some complaints about how she comes with a mohair wig, both because of allergies and because that kind of wig doesn’t hold the same quality as the commonly used wigs for Pullips. I don’t know, I think the fluff is making Papin who she is. ;) Luckily, I don’t have to struggle with allergies for hair/fur!

      • Same here, I love her pink floofy hair ! I have seen some people say their Papin’s hair quality isn’t great so it does worry me a little. Thin in places, etc. But it’s so cute !
