It’s gorgeous! All the Barbie patterns I’ve been sending her way have been without open backs, and she doesn’t want to start modifying patterns so they’ve never been made – but this sweater is perfect!

lol! I've got a Ravelry account too, just gathering dust at the moment! It's getting all nice and autumn-like in here though, so the needles are coming back out! Have a friend who has a couple of Little Big Eye dolls (they're a cheaper version of Blythe, sort of a cross between Blythe and Pullip) and she needs a couple of scarves for them, so am working on those right now.

Isn't that last sweater to die for? Wuh, love...

I admit, while those aren't as terrifying as I normally find Blythes, I just can't bring myself to want one. Although, for some reason, Blythe started my whole BJD love affair. (Actually, I believe it was knitty.com's Blythe Gear patterns that made me sit up and take notice. Knitting and dolls tend to be my weakness. =P)

Matte faces and fringe definitely help to make Blythes more appealing.

I think the following factors count for why I like them: matted faces, acrylic eyes which look more natural, and fringes hiding the fact that they don’t have eyebrows (with the blonde, eyebrows would naturally not be showing as good – speaking of experience here..). Same thing goes for the stock ones that I like – the blue haired one has a fringe and the others are blonde enough to defend not having visible eyebrows. Methinks.

I actually agree with you! They are not too bad- I especially like the brown-haired one(she has beautiful eyes!). And I have never ever been a blythe person(except that I adore their clothes..hehe). These however are actually swaying me in a positive direction…!
