I dropped by a craft store a couple of days ago, looking for Wilton’s icing colours for some cupcakes I’d promised my 9 y/o. Turned out, the store was in the process of moving, and they had a 75% off sales..! There wasn’t much left (I got the icing colours I was looking for, though!), but I was quite pleased with the things Smilla – my Chill – are showing off here. The felt fabric rolls were only $2.5 each! I foresee some nifty duffle coat for my girls..! The scrapbook paper is meant to be wallpaper (there are four sheets of each design).
And yeah, I’ve finally come around to naming my girls. Some are namesakes, some got their names “just because”.
Smilla is named after the main character of Peter Hoeg’s novel and the film by the same name. Keren is named after one of my favourite singer/songwriters; Keren Ann. Lisa is named after Lisa Kimmel Fischer from the TV series Six Feet Under.

Thanks! Tweaked in Photoshop, admittedly – two duplicate layers: one with screen mode and the upper with overlay mode and gaussian blur added, both with the transparency turned down a few notches.
Doesn’t she just fit well with Smilla? It’s one of my favourite books, and a Chill just _have_ to have a name related to snow, it seems.
